Fall Elopement in Winter Park, CO
Did you know that if you’re debating whether you want to have an adventure elopement or an intimate ceremony with family, you can actually do both?
That’s what Abbie + Anthony did on their day. They took time at sunrise to off-road up to a gorgeous alpine lake and had the entire view to themselves. As the sun rose over the mountain tops, it revealed some of the most breathtaking views the Colorado rocky mountains have to offer. We explored the beautiful alpine lake with snowcaps all around us, and hiked all around to find the perfect spot to watch the sunrise.
After off-roading back down to Winter Park, we separated for a bit to get a quick nap in before the rest of the day took place. HIGHLY recommend sneaking in some time to nap if you start your day before the sun comes up!
We met up in the afternoon for part 2 of the day, surrounded by their families, as they shared a sweet intimate ceremony on the deck of a gorgeous vacation rental overlooking an aspen grove. The fall colors were at their absolute peak vibrancy as we explored the grove after their ceremony. Wandering the towering aspen trees was an autumnal paradise, again, with no one else around.
One thing about the locations I recommend to my couples is that you are almost guaranteed seclusion and privacy. We explored the aspen grove trail without having to interact with a single person, and it was absolutely magical.
Their families cooked a huge family dinner, and they shared stories, laughs, and tears through the rest of the evening. It was such a sweet day full of SO much love. I loved working with these two and getting to help plan their elopement / intimate wedding day.
