Cozy Winter Elopement near Breckenridge, Colorado
This secret gem outside of Breckenridge is one of my all-time favorite elopement locations in Colorado. The amount of jaw-dropping spots in this area is absolutely surreal.
M+E decided to elope in this area near Leadville because of its stunning snowy mountain views, as well as a lake that was easily accessible despite there being a lot of snow.
After getting ready at their hotel and sharing a first look, we headed over to their ceremony spot, which was right in the middle of a gorgeous valley surrounded by snowy mountain views and a gorgeous alpine lake. Having mountain views on all side, they had their ceremony with just the two of them, and completed it right along side their pup. Did you know your dog can legally sign your marriage license in most counties of Colorado? It’s true!
After their ceremony, we explored the area surrounding the alpine lake, and were able to catch one of Colorado’s famous alpen-glow sunsets, watching the sunset radiate off the mountain tops. Their pup signed their marriage license with his paw-print, and we were off to their mini reception. This included cupcakes and cider by the fire under twinkle lights, right alongside their pup.
This elopement was full of gorgeous mountain views, and a free-spirited loving atmosphere. It was such a special day!
