Breckenridge, Colorado Fall Elopement

Breckenridge, Colorado Fall Elopement

Breckenridge is one of the most iconic locations in all of Colorado, but why is that? Well, this elopement day should be able to shed a little light on why that is.

Meagan + Derrian chose Breckenridge as their elopement location because of the gorgeous fall colors, the easily accessible locations for their ceremony, the downtown area that isn’t too crowded on weekdays, and the amount of AirBNB’s in the area. Breck is honestly one of my most inquired-for locations. There are really big locations that have become extremely popular in recent years, so I love being able to surprise my couples with locations where we don’t see a single person so that they have complete privacy on their elopement day.

M+D booked the all day package with me, which is up to 12 hours of elopement day coverage. This may seem like a lot of time, but here’s what they had to say about it:

M: “My husband and I booked the 12 hour elopement package with Emily and we are SO glad we did. Our elopement day was 100% stress free - no rushing, no anxiety. We were able to capture photos of our day from start to finish: making breakfast with friends & family, a cute little session with our dog, first looks, multiple photo locations, vow exchange, reception, and even some fun pics in the hot tub at our Airbnb!”

D: “We had her for 12 hours (which if anyone is reading this and wondering which package to do, take it from me, the 12 hours is worth it 100%!). We had such a low stress day and got to do everything that we planned and more!”

We started their day in the kitchen of their adorable AirBNB with breakfast and coffee in their jammies with their besties. After watching the snow fall (classic fall move for Colorado) we began to get everyone ready for the day. Upon having their first look, we departed for their ceremony, which was set on a gorgeous alpine lake just outside of Breckenridge. It was a winter wonderland up there, which is extremely common for fall in higher elevations.

After their ceremony, we were able to explore a bit, head to a coffee shop for some post-ceremony fuel, then have pizza at their AirBNB with their friends, and have a soak in the hot tub and s’mores to top off the night. They were able to fit in so much on their elopement day, all while keeping a slow, stress-free pace the entire day.

As a Colorado Elopement Photographer, I absolutely love getting to craft the perfect day for my couples that totally speaks to them.
